If this sounds fun and interesting to you, please send us an email at photocontest@sequoiariverlands.org to receive a full list of contest details, rules and prizes. More importantly, you’ll be signing up to receive periodic updates about exclusive photography opportunities on SRT preserves and photography workshops. Don’t miss out on the spectacular season of spring wildflowers! However, we also encourage photographs taken from all four seasons of our ever-changing valley and foothill landscape, even photos you’ve previously taken. “Call for Artwork” - California Institute for Mental Helath (Sacramento) partnership with California Mental Health Directors Association (CMHDA) in developing the Recovery Arts Program. Our partnership is the display of client artwork within our office. This program supports wellness, recovery, and resiliency through gaining or regaining identification as an artist, enhancing artistic skills, and promoting art as employment and community integration. We are welcoming the display and selling of original artwork from the CiMH and CMHDA office walls. CiMH and CMHDA want to represent artists from all 58 counties. We are encouraging one or several counties to use our walls for county artists’ artwork. Their artwork will be displayed in our Sequoia Conference Center. We will rotate the display as time allows. To assist us with the selection of original artwork, we encourage the submission of jpg/jpeg files with the highest resolution, minimum 300 dpi. Once we select the artwork, we will require the counties/artists to ship the original pieces in the ‘safest’ manner possible. We do not want the artwork damaged. The artist or agency will be responsible for mailing costs. We require the original artwork to have dimensions larger than 11X14. We would like to display the artist’s name, biographical information, county of residence, and the price of the artwork. If client/artists would like to have their original artwork displayed, please forward the digital files to Alice J. Washington at awashington@cimh.org or 916-556-3480, Extension 139.
